Good sound, with extreme close-ups and therefore partial shaky and blurry (due to digital zoom); otherwise quite good video but overall too much contrast.

One almighty muddle seems to be the order here. 2002 wasn't that long ago, and for the first time we appear to have footage of every UK [well, it only took in England, but there is more to this bunch of islands] date on that tour. But when you go to find them ?
London 12 may D244 and D555.su are listed and out there as is D243 11th may.
Birmingham 10th.may D242 listed but no-one seems to have it, though 3 tracks appear on D103.
Manchester 9th may D199 & D241 are circulating copies of the same tape, there's a second tape out there not listed and only available so far as a VCD>DVD transfer.
Newcastle 8th may, D240 listed but again no-one's seen it. 6 tracks from than are on D103 and a 7th [If Dogs Run Free] only as a VCD>DVD transfer again.
Cardiff 6th may, no problems here D239 / D239.su available
Bournemouth 5th may, D238 again listed and again unseen
And finaly Brighton 4th may, 3 tapes out there, D157 has the same footage as D103, D685 has 40+min. of another tape, and yet another VCD>DVD transfer has 8 tracks from a 3rd tape.

Confused enough ? [and I haven't mentioned the 4:3/16:9 schizophrenia on some of the above]
Now the copy of D157 I have sitting here, and the Artwork posted, has 7 of the 8 D685 tracks added on. [Lonesome Day's missing] But the track list above and jim50's review only shows the D103/D157 footage, is there 2 versions of this DVD going round ?

Well with 3 tapes of the Brighton show, surely there'd be enough for a complete show ? No, there's 2 "Thomas's", "If not for you", "Ramona", "Tweedle", "Tamb. Man", "Tangled" and "Sugar Baby" but "Can't wait", "Sub. Homesick" and "Lonesome" have 3 outings. The last half of the concert "Summer Days" to the end has just the one tape with 2 tracks only just making the most fleeting of appearances.
What of the 2 films here ? We're still in the analogue era, crap digital cameras with their washed out colors haven't taken over yet, so there are some really nice colourful shots in here. Yes heads are a bit of a problem at times, but nothing too intrusive. jim50's covered the 2nd tape more than well enough, but the extra tape, the D685 footage is the better of the 2. But as the version presented here is missing "Lonesome Day" you'd be as well getting D685 / D685.su to see it. And then I suppose if you have that and D103 already, you don't need this.

A good solid 4 star effort, If it was more complete easily worth 5.
