CONTRAST TO D847:
-split into 2 discs for higher bitrate/better resolution
-used master for the right balcony angle (D220.m/Masters Series 097)
-more precise editing and use of the two video sources
PERFORMANCE/HIGHLIGHTS/SPECIAL MOMENTS:
-great performances of all songs, especially "I Want You" and "Mama, You Been On My Mind"
-Campbell's leads on the rockers, especially "Highway 61 Revisited"
-highly engaged Dylan, mugging and gesturing to crowd frequently/salutes after "Highway 61 Revisited"
-wildly enthusiastic crowd
(ratings below are averages for the two camera angles)
DISTANCE/POSITION: 12 (two angles with extreme zooms from VS 1)
AUDIO: 14 (same upgrade for entire program; excellent LB-4898)
STEADINESS: 11 (both cameras intermittently shaky)
HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS: 11 (both cameras intermittently obstructed or off target; D691 tape counter on for most of program; D220.m tape counter on only at start)
FOCUS: 12 (VS 1 overexposed at times but mostly sharp focus with vivid colors; D220.m not as sharp or colorful as VS 1)
EDITING: Alternated between the two sources where feasible, but emphasis on the more colorful and sharply focused VS 1. Encore applause cut down.
