Absolutly Brilliant!
Probaly my best dvd in my collection.
Clear Picture
Clear Sound
Nice Setlist
It's got everything
My only tiny complaint is that Bob's voice goes a little, little but rusty at times but thats about it.
I would recommend this dvd to everyone!
Thank you 11DollarBills for sending me this fantastic DVD!

This is a very good dvd that complements d729.su perfectly. Nicely filmed, although it doesn't get as close as d729.su at least this time the camera is facing Bob! The sound is never less than listenable, I can't really hear any sound gremlins; only the inherent draw backs of the medium.

Performance seems to be par for the course these days and if you like that you'll like this dvd. Some highlights include : a strong version of 'Lenny Bruce',nice idea to feature the intro from 'Thunder On The Mountain', which even features the 'taxi' verse (just shows the benefits of having the lyric sheets perched on the piano!). The 'Modern Times' songs all work well, with the possible exception of 'Thunder On The Mountain' which is just noise, although 'Workingmans Blues' is the clear highlight. There is also a good version of 'Senor'.

Overall if I had to choose I'd probably go with d729.su on the basis of the set-list. Tonights show has a few more 60s tunes and one of my pet hates 'Watching The River Flow'. One final point the production of this disc has obviously been a labour of love and deserves special recommendation. Many thanks to 'FRANKANDY' for sending me this.

Modern Times captured live.

A 5 star dvdylan.community production. Carefully and precisely created from wonderful sources, both audio and video.

Stellar set list, stellar performances. Beautiful authoring.

This is what this corner of the bobbyhobby world is all about IMO.

Thanks to everyone involved in creating this DVD, especially Bob Dylan.

For bootleg video with an excellent soomlos audio upgrade, I rate this San Francisco show the big FIVE STARS!

Certainly this is a better vantage than most of the Dylan concerts that I've attended - many very clear shots. The time, effort and care that is in this project is so very evident - this is what makes the FAN PROJECT a little bit of magic. I'll leave the detailed reviews of each and every song to others but I enjoy seeing the whole band play and the synergy of the moments, Bob's knocked-kneed poses, the glitter on his suit, the gnarled fingers, Stu staring off into space. This was the perfect band to back the Modern Times album. Special thanks to everyone involved!
