DVD PRODUCTION PROCESS:
All work done on MacBook Pro running El Capitan OS 10.11.1 Audio and video assets edited in iMovie 6.0.3; authored, multiplexed and burned to VIDEO_TS folder in iDVD 7.1.2 (Professional Quality 2-pass variable bit rate encoding)

LB NOTES FOR LB-1626:
Another in the series of 1995 off-masters.
Unknown taper
Lots of small drops d1t7, d1t8, d2t1 plus a few more afterward Excellent (A-)

COOPS2009 NOTES FOR MS-153:
Remember even if you have some of the Daves films already that at best your copies will be 2 generations poorer than anything in the Masters series, so get em all.
These will be with original sound though many will feature as sound upgrades eventually with my two mates Yassou and Madhasse helping out

COOPS2009 NOTES FOR MS-085:
Bobs 1995 UK Tour was a good one, and in my opinion the Cardiff show was possibly the best of the run. The group are supporting Bob well and Bob himself is on fire. This video captures much of that atmosphere very well. Worth a view.

DIFFERENCES & IMPROVEMENTS OVER D214.msu/MS-153.msu)
-used alternate camera for missing parts of “Tangled Up In Blue” & “Born In Time”
-different top and track menus

PERFORMANCE/HIGHLIGHTS/SPECIAL MOMENTS:
-setlist heavy on 60’s songs (10 out of 15)
-strong vocals throughout, several with Dylan center stage sans guitar
-as tight a band as you’re going to hear
-Baxter’s attire looks like that of a cattleman on the Great Plains in
the winter
-another meaty and mean “Down In The Flood”
-impassioned vocal and wailing harp on “Señor”
-Watson’s pulsating drumming on “Tangled Up In Blue”
-soulful lead by Jackson on “Born In Time”
-excruciatingly tender vocal and harp on “Mr. Tambourine Man” with great dobro by
Baxter
-terrific arrangement of “Boots Of Spanish Leather”
-a majestic, 9-1/2 minute performance “Desolation Row”
-“Dignity” (in word, in deed, and in-the-flesh!)
-Baxter unseen but excellent pedal steel on “She Belongs To Me”
-Dylan says after the band intros: “Anyway, we’re gonna get out of
here right now ‘cause we got places to go and things to do.”
-Baxter excellent mandolin on “Boots Of Spanish Leather” and “It Ain’t Me,
Babe”
-cool guitar interplay by Jackson and Dylan on “Like A Rolling Stone”
-another smoking hot “Maggie’s Farm”
-great, convincing vocal on “Like A Rolling Stone” with clapping crowd
-fine acoustic arrangement of “It Ain’t Me, Babe” with crowd singing along
on chorus (one would hate to be the female object of this performance
and the preceding “Like A Rolling Stone”)
-Jackson’s slide guitar on “Highway 61 Revisited” with Dylan handling the
electric lead with aplomb
-Garnier’s solid bass work throughout, especially his descending bass
line on “Like A Rolling Stone” and standup bass on the acoustic numbers

DISTANCE/POSITION: 8-15 (right balcony 40˙) (camera follows Dylan with some panning and zooming from full stage to close on Dylan’s face; Baxter on far right rarely seen except when standing next to Garnier; Watson only seen on some zoom outs; Jackson frequently on screen)

AUDIO: 15 (superlative LB-1626; has small drops before some songs, probably vestiges of song breaks)

STEADINESS: 12 (sometimes jittery and shaky, especially between songs or cut parts, but quite watchable)

HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS: 12 (occasionally obstructed)

FOCUS: 12 (good color/too vivid in reds and oranges/adequate light/sometimes unfocused; grainy on extreme closeups)

EDITING: missing song, cuts, clips and transitions between songs filled w/stills, and to maintain a/v sync (see setlist details)
