(this review is from viewing the discs on a computer with dvd playback application,
however, viewing later on a regular analog tv set, the picture is much better.)
framing: very good, most of the time.
nearly complete stage.
filming: well done. apparently from a tripod. mainly focuses on whole stage. sometimes misses Willie Smith.
unfortunately there's about 4 (or more) songs with no picture. looks as though the camera had been accidentally pushed & the veiw is over the audience. acoustic songs are rather dark.
steadiness: very steady. some horizontal movement from pivoting tripod adjustment. shaky: no. jittery: not at all.
picture: very colourful! not the best, but clear enough. something you may want to watch from a distance. sometimes goes out of focus.
obstructions: views rarely obscured. a bit of the wondering cam syndrome (as noted above).
sound: good enough.
performance highlights:
Dead Man, Dead Man; Slow Train; Solid Rock; When You Gonna Wake Up?; In The Garden.
Heart Of Mine: bob plays keys.
some guest vocals:
Till I Get It Right: Regina McCrary;
Let's Begin: duet with Clydie King;
Saved By The Grace Of Your Love: Willie Smith
a good show, not the best. somewhat typical of '81
screenshots: good indication of what's waiting for you.
recommended to anyone who likes the 1981 version of bob!
good video for this era, not quite perfect in any aspect: 4 stars
