D186 11 Entwürfe Für 1 Geburtstagsgruß ~ Bob Dylan Wird 50 (Eleven Sketches For One Birthday Greeting ~ Bob Turns Fifty)

Pristine quality pro-shot. Running time: 53:50. No chapter sub-divisions. Eleven commentators - a politician, curator, musician, DJ, bootlegger (fourth screenshot), actor, feminist, collector etc - gives their views on Bob - but all in German. Intercut with clips (all familiar to DVDylan members) from Hard Rain, Don't Look Back, R&C, Wilburys, the 1991 Grammy Awards plus a couple of promos (Emotionally Yours / Most Of The Time). Ends with a nice little line-by-line Times and look out for the cute bandanna'd baby. If you're German or have a good working knowledge of the language, this will probably make rewarding viewing. Otherwise, you’ve unlikely to watch it more than once.

BONUS: Seville Guitar Legends, October 1991 (22:40). Pro-shot. Quality, though okay (last screenshot) is less than fine and notably below the same material as featured on D015. Not D's finest hour - a turgid Masters, a knocked-off Boots, a better Borderline (though still he has the helpless, hunted look of a rabbit in headlights - I was hoping he'd try the Spanish verse, but no), an unconvincing Answer Me then on comes Keith and you can't help but recall the last time (D013, fifth chapter) they appeared on TV together... And, yes, what follows is indeed every bit as bad. D's lines in Shake, Rattle And Roll are all-but unintelligible and, come the end, he can't get off the stage quick enough.
