PERFORMANCE/HIGHLIGHTS/SPECIAL MOMENTS:
-Dylan starts singing "Gotta Serve Somebody" with "You might like to dance," cutting the first two lines
-Dylan combines lines in "Gotta Serve Somebody" to sing "eating caviar in a king-sized bed," hence the title of the Rattlesnake bootleg
-In the band intros Dylan says he wrote "Make You Feel My Love" for Garth Brooks
-Great acoustic set w/sinus-clearing harp intro & outro to "My Back Pages"
-Dylan very animated during "Highway 61 Revisited"
IMPROVEMENTS/DIFFERENCES OVER D486 & D486.su:
-far better resolution & color
-no reliance on special effects
-doesn't include Duluth 22-Oct-98 bonus songs
DISTANCE/POSITION: 14 (shot through a narrow window between bodies, but filmer got good close-ups and panned and zoomed to good effect; very little footage of David due to far left position and speaker stack)
AUDIO: 15 (excellent "Rattlesnake" bootleg LB-1261)
STEADINESS: 12 (filmer probably had camera on knee and thus susceptible to bumps from neighbors in audience; problem most pronounced during "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35," "'Til I Fell In Love With You" and "Forever Young"when audience can no longer take it sitting down)
HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS: 12 (restricted shooting window, but good waist-up shots resulted)
FOCUS: 14 (well-focused except when cam has to re-adjust due to obstructions)
EDITING: A few places filled w/stills; filled some gaps in upgrade audio source.
Technical Pros:
-dynamic audio
-good focus, resolution, close-ups
Technical Cons:
-cam often tilted to the right
-not many views of David
-shakiness & obstructions increase during encores
