COOPS2009 NOTES FOR MS-271:
This step back in time comes to me courtesy of an old mate/collector/. It has circulated before but as the original was shot as blu-ray it has only been available edited and in lower res. With Tempgenc 6 Author I am able to import mts files direct so this is a far better resolution than previously available. Add to that the fact that it's a cracking gig I would get it now. You even get 2 films for one! though as you can see the first night is merely a fragment
DISC AUTHOR’S NOTE ON VIDEO:
The set list for the source video has the dates switched for the main program and the fragments. The correct dates are as indicated above, 13-Nov-2013 for the main program and 14-Nov-2013 for the fragments.

DVDylan ID #1198.ms2
Masters Series #271.ms2

DIFFERENCES FROM D1198.msu:
-sourced from master files
-full show on one DVD-9 (dual-layer) disc
-different title & track menus
-some editorial changes (see setlist details)
-band leaving venue footage added to title page
PERFORMANCE/HIGHLIGHTS/SPECIAL MOMENTS:
-highly energetic, yet respectful, audience
-Dylan in clear, albeit husky, voice
-Dylan addresses crowd in French before break: “Merci beaucoup, mon amis. Vive la
France!” For the record, Bob should have said “mes amis.”
-heavy on newer (1997 and later) songs (six from “Tempest”)
-excellent performances of “Waiting For You” and “High Water”
-venomous delivery of “Pay In Blood”
-meditative take on “Forgetful Heart”
-“Scarlet Town” as inscrutable as ever
-neat guitar work by Sexton on “Long And Wasted Years”
-terrific harp, especially on “Love Sick” and “Forgetful Heart”
DISTANCE/POSITION: Left balcony 10˙; (filmer had to shoot between unknown obstructions (filmer’s hood?) on the left and right sides, but managed by zooming in on Dylan, Sexton and Herron; others rarely seen except during pre-encore and final bows)
AUDIO: 15 excellent LB-11225 (source was 24-bits converted to 16-bit for DVD use)
STEADINESS: 9 (often shaky w/camera off target, especially between songs)
HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS: 13 (no obvious audience interference, but filmer had to zoom in between unknown obstructions (filmer’s hood?) on the left and right)
FOCUS: 14 (dark venue, color excellent, focus a bit soft, grainy on extreme closeups)
EDITING: cut & seriously off-target parts filled with stills
