DASH-F RATING ON 10-POINT SCALE:

DISTANCE/POSITION: 10
AUDIO: 10
STEADINESS: 6
HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS: 4
FOCUS: 7

AVERAGE QUALITY = 6.75 (excludes Distance/Position)
PROS: Waist up focus on Dylan and excellent sound.
CONS: Songs 1-8 missing; songs 9 substantially cut; song 15 virtually missing; numerous obstructions.

VIDEO SOURCE:
Hi8 tape w/ footage from the 12-10-97 and 12-11-97 shows.

AUDIO SOURCE:
LB-5150

DISTANCE/POSITION:
Left balcony 30˙
Limited zooming and panning.
Filmer behind left balcony rail with narrow window to shoot through.
Mostly waist and above on Dylan with occasional pans to other players.

AUDIO:
Excellent recording. No echo, cuts or clipping.

STEADINESS:
About average.

HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS:
No heads, but numerous obstructions.
Obstructed by rail when not zoomed in.
Filmer lowered camera between songs so transitions and starts of songs not filmed.

FOCUS/COLOR/LIGHT/RESOLUTION:
Above average.
Mostly in focus w/good color, especially when lights are bright.

EDITING:
Stills were used to fill the missing songs and many obstructed or off-target parts.
Footage from the 12-11-97 was used to fill some of the missing material.
Audio over single stills was used for missing or severely obstructed songs.

PERFORMANCE/HIGHLIGHTS/SPECIAL MOMENTS:
The excellent sound and crowd reaction is indicative of a great show, but the need for excessive editing and the lack of effective panning and zooming compromise enjoyment. The filmer is to be commended for doing his/her best to bring the show to the fans.
