Notes from soomlos: This DVD contains the first four songs and the last song from November 20th plus the "Forever Young" encore from the 21st. Video was shot from the center floor, providing some nice close-ups. It's somewhat shaky at times but overall I think it's still pretty enjoyable to watch. Hope you enjoy : )

As if the tremendous catalog of first-rate audio recordings weren't enough, we now have the first, to my knowledge, soomlos video product. If this is indeed the first soomlos video, then he must be commended for a sensitive variety of pans and zooms, a professional authoring job, and perfect audio/video sync.

This DVD is a compilation of Mark Knopfler appearances from the 20-November-2011 concert plus the great Knopfler sit-in on the next night's "Forever Young." Knopfler is front and center on all tracks, and his clean finger-picking lead style complements the playing of the band, especially Charlie's, who manages to take a back seat without fading into the background.

One hopes that this effort is the start of a succession of video projects by our friend and benefactor, the magnificent soomlos.

5 Stars, of course!
