This is a shot of the big screen. Not bad if you don't mind not seeing the actual stage. Set with Paul Simon is missing.

This was my third Bob show. I saw Bob at the same venue in 1997 (D053). Both dvds from this venue are focused on the big screen on the edges of the pavillion. This one features a very happy and animated Dylan. Some great songs include "Simple Twist of Fate", a beautiful "Not Dark Yet" just as it was getting dark. Excellent opening "Somebody Touched Me" and "Mr. Tambourine Man" . Even though this one only shows Bob most of the time and hardly no shots of the band It is still a solid and enjoyable dvd.

I've had this one for some time but when I found it was just a static shot of the big screen I never bothered to watch it all the way through.....however I gave it a chance last night and really enjoyed it.
If only there had been another camera filming the rest of the band this could have been a contender.
So,what we have is Bob filmed from waist-up....on screen the whole time, very few shots of the rest of the band.
This might be boring if Bob wasn't on form but fortunately he's animated and more than 'into' it!
The sound is very good, picture good enough and rock steady, very few heads in the way,and some
very good versions of... Baby blue.....Tangled....Watchtower....Simple Twist...Silvio...
Not Dark Yet and Highway 61.
If you were after just ONE show from 1999 then this wouldn't be the one I'd recommend, however if you just can't get enough Bob...then I don't think you'd be disappointed with this.
