The subtitle says it all. This hitherto hidden program contains the only live performance of "A Satisfied Mind," and a fine performance it is.

The show kicks off with six straight acoustic numbers, highlighted by "A Satisfied Mind," but further enhanced by a great "Momma, You Been On My Mind." Fortunately, the obstructions at the start of the program (toggle the technical details) dissipate in time for those two songs to be enjoyed in all their raging glory.

The acoustic program is followed by some killer electric numbers, especially "Man Of Peace" and "Maggie's Farm," a country classic ("Folsom Prison Blues"), and a sublime "Shooting Star." The final number, "Highway 61 Revisited," brings Charlie in closer to the rest of the group for some excellent lead interplay with Larry and Bob. Tony becomes so inspired that he jumps up on the drum stand to have some words with Kemper.

A master Hi8 tape was shared by our constant friends and benefactors, Tom P. and raygun, and sound upgraded with two 'A' rated audio sources, one of which was used primarily for fills of missing songs and drops on the other source. While dealing with a feisty crowd, especially the inspired female who insisted on dancing through most of "Tangled Up In Blue," our cameraman did a fine job of panning and zooming, a fact which actually gave welcome opportunities to capture Charlie, who was too far right to make most of the film.

Did I say: 5 Stars?
