If you like your Dylan short and sweet, then this is the disk for you. Although the filmer was only able to capture the first six songs, he did so in excellent style from an unobstructed balcony seat. The focus/color/lighting is as good as any item in this catalog, and the camera is almost tripod steady. It is rare in this editor's experience to have worked with a field recording that was in need of no fills for clips, cuts, shakiness, or obstructions, but this is such a recording.

As for the brief setlist, one could hardly ask for a better variety of songs. As for the players, one can only agree with those who argue that the Larry Campbell/Charlie Sexton band was among the best, if not THE best lineup in the NET run. For my money, "Ring Them Bells" is the standout song, and, although Bob flubbed my favorite verse - the one about St. Catherine - he was conscientious enough to sing it over again, this time perfectly and with conviction.

To award fewer than 5 stars for this one would seem to me to be a sin.
