DISC D557.su
SOUND Very good throughout. Probably not best on surround sound.
IMAGE Always very clear, occasionally obstructed or goes black but woulden't really put you off the enjoyment of watching it.
RUNNING TIME 91:30
PERFORMANCE Solid, strong with Dylan's then new guitarist, Denny and lap/pedal steel player, Donnie.
HIGHLIGHTS A solid Cry A While and new arranged Hazel. Chimes was very heartfelt aswell

Watched this one again last night at a friends house, first time since I originally recieved the disc. I always say: the best way to protect your collection is to spread copies of everything far and wide, and last night was a little dividend.
Great authoring, I love these ones with the colorful skylines of the given city on the menu page. not a coincidence that these are also consistently brilliant soundupgrade productions. no exception here.
As noted in previous reviews, the audio is nice if a bit thin at points.
Severe video drops as noted, audio is complete.
Tbe video is better than i remembered from earlier viewing, very clear with great focus for being in the very back of the theater. Rich colors too on the rare occasions throughout the set that the stage plot calls for colored lights... steady and able filming, especially given the obstructions the filmer faced. George R gets lots of attention which further highlights the DVD author's skillful sync.
I'm afraid the performance was not as strong on DVD as it is in my memory is of that night in Manhattan. I guess a week of shows in a beautiful theater in NYC is enough to color the lens rose. some strong points though no doubt. Lots of harp solos too. I count that a plus.
Solid 4 stars.

this must be watched to completely appreciate d558.
rockin' version of To Be Alone With You.
mellow: hazel.
Can't see over to the other side,
But you can't see in and it's hard lookin' out,
ring very true here. evidently the restless folks between our 2 men of the hour, (1 of them being on the stage,) obviously had more on there minds than checking out the show.
good show;
shot: fairly stable, view wonders about from time to time (not neccessarily on whoever has the audio spotlight;
framing: not the best in the world, not the worst either, & doesn't make watching unbearable;
close ups: good & clear;
picture: clear, focused all around, most of the time;
sound: good & clear (piano rarely audible);
performance: i enjoyed it, though i've heard them do similar versions of about 3 of these songs done with the beginning & ending of the notes played with more clarity. (the myrtle beach show was incredible!)
once you've seen this & then watch d558, you can tell, our other man of the hour, the ticket holder, is back with a vengence! shot better, less obscured shots, & focused on whoever has the audio spot light!
way to go, man!
