DIFFERENCES AND IMPROVEMENTS OVER D223.m/MS-165:
-sound upgraded
-used stills to fill missing parts
-different top and track menus
PERFORMANCE/HIGHLIGHTS/SPECIAL MOMENTS:
-solid show, but no harp, which was missed on “It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It
Takes A Train To Cry”
-strong takes on “Tough Mama” & “Silvio”
-cool harmonies by Campbell & Baxter on “Silvio” & “Roving Gambler”
-strong leads by Campbell on the rockers
-effective tremolo mandolin fills by Baxter on “Tangled Up In Blue”
-the presence of the ever-smiling Campbell and Garnier greatly enhances
Dylan’s business-like attitude
-terrific, almost terrifying, performances of “God Knows” & “This Wheel’s On
Fire” with great close-ups of Garnier and Baxter on the former and of
Campbell on the latter
-fine lead-swapping by Campbell and Dylan on “Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat”
DISTANCE/POSITION: 8-14 (left balcony 10˙) (excellent position allowed filmer to train camera on Dylan mostly waist up with minimal shakes and obstruction; effective zooming out and some panning to show Campbell, Garnier and Baxter; Kemper’s face mostly hidden behind large cymbal on drum kit)
AUDIO: 14 (excellent LB-3003); a few drops, but nothing terribly distracting
STEADINESS: 13 (some shakes, but quite watchable)
HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS: 13 (very few obstructions)
FOCUS: 13 (excellent color, tough a tad vivid under red/orange light; adequate light; focus consistently good after a very unfocused start, which was filled with stills)
EDITING: very few missing or defective parts; filled missing parts with stills (see description in setlist details

COOPS2009 NOTES FOR MS-165:
Not only are both these shows [01-10-97 & 02-10-97] well filmed they were brilliant concerts. The band and Bob really COOK, don't miss em.
Remember even if you have some of the Daves films already that at best your copies
will be 2 generations poorer than anything in the Masters series, so get em all.
These will be with original sound though many will feature as sound upgrades eventually
with my two mates Yassou and Madhasse helping out
LB NOTES FOR LB-3003:
NOTE: [Charlespoet] received this direct from person who transferred from the DAT! bittorrent download 08/05; some clipping at begin of d1t1; wav forms are unbalanced looking with more on top than bottom
