This is a worthy, though somewhat flawed, addition to our catalog. There are numerous a/v sync issues, particularly during the first and last songs, and the sepia tone leads to a rather dull presentation. It appears that the filmer/editor captured each song individually and then cobbled them together to make a complete DVD. This led to each song being clipped. The filmer/editor apparently also did some editing within songs that led to a/v sync issues.

The biggest disappointment is that "Garden Party," which has its live debut here, has several cuts, and the a/v is out of sync until the final 40 seconds. I read a review that I can't seem to locate now that stated that Dylan's reason for playing the song may have been that someone in the audience was asking for hits, and this reminded him of Rick Nelson's reason for writing the song. I've listened to three audio recording and there's no indication that Dylan addressed the audience.

Now, if you like extreme close-ups on Dylan, you'll be happy to hear that this DVD gives you that in spades. There are, however, occasional pans to show the entire group and individual members, and even one shot that shows Dylan with his back to his keyboard playing guitar on "To Ramona." Dylan's singing is clear and energetic, his harp playing sharp and frequent, and his keyboard playing front and center.

Thanks to the YouTube uploader, Country Music Fliks, and our friend JTT, who shared this at WTRF (WatchingTheRiverFlow).
