DISTANCE/POSITION: MS-230: Left floor 30˙/D183: Right balcony 50˙ (MS-230 focused on Dylan knees to waist up with views of other players when close to Dylan; D183 focused mostly on Dylan & Smith but more distant; position in crowd required zoom in for MS-230 with little opportunity for panning; D183 more fixed)

AUDIO: 13 (LB-7542 used until 14:31:19 then LB-2860 for remainder)

STEADINESS: 7 (MS-230 rather jittery)

HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS: 6 (MS-230 often obstructed)

FOCUS: 11 (MS-230 colorful with good light and focus though too vivid at times; D183 adequate color/light/focus)

EDITING: missing song, cuts and obstructed parts filled w/stills & D183 clips; less vivid color adjustments used for songs with bright lights

LB NOTES FOR LB-2860:
mics were attached to a high-back lawn chair in front of speaker stack. There are some moments when folks walk/stand in front of mics and the sounds becomes slightly muffled, but it isn't that bad and only happens a few times. A sweet recording. Notes:, Missing first three songs of show: Subterranean Homesick Blues, It's All Over Now Baby Blue, Masters Of War. Ballad Of A Thin Man comes in at, but you don't understand what your gonna say when you get home; from Rob Berger > DNC viner > vine cdr > eac with ultraplex > wav > shn; same recording as previous circulating sbd with this one having lower levels; this one has more dense midrange and high end and may be clearer as a result so it sounds just slightly better; neither have much above 18k but have a little; excellent sound [A]; background talking d1t6, d1t7

Source notes: This 1st Gen tape was copied from the master
shortly after the show. Track 1 fades in near the beginning,
with several little flaws and level adjustments in the first
minute and a half. Track 10 fades in at the start, after the
tape-flip. THANKS to Johnny P for lending the tape... Enjoy!

bittorrent download 05/09; in 3-way comparison these are different recordings based on different crowd at end of d1t10; akg LB-2860 has fullest most natural sound, then this which is more echoey, and LB-0209 is more distant with a little hiss; very good to excellent sound [B+]
