5/5-/3+/3+/5- (MS-119)
14/13/10/10/13 (avg. 11.50 B/B+)
Left floor 20˙ (MS-119)
Right balcony 30˙ (MS-058)
IMPROVEMENTS/DIFFERENCES FROM D1186.su/MS-119.su:
-filled missing songs and other clipped/cut parts with alternate camera source (MS-058)
-new top and sub-menus
PERFORMANCE/HIGHLIGHTS/LOWLIGHTS/SPECIAL MOMENTS:
-Fine vocals
-Great harp on "I'll Remember You" and "Forever Young"
DISTANCE/POSITION: 14 (left floor 20˙); 10 (Right balcony 30˙); left floor shot exclusively waist-up on Dylan with very few views of other players/singers) (Filmer did a great job keeping focus on stage despite being in the middle of a rowdy crowd); right balcony shot mostly shows whole stage with little panning & zooming
AUDIO: 13 (excellent LTB recording; ran a bit faster than the video soundtrack so had to be slowed 0.5%)
STEADINESS: 10 (MS-119 filmer did an admirable job working in a rowdy crowd)
HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS: 10 (MS-119 shot between crowd and mostly on-target; body on right often blocks out lower right of screen; MS-058 mostly unobstructed)
FOCUS/COLOR/LIGHT: 13 (MS-119 has very good color and light; sharpness quite good for a tape transfer; MS-058 fair color & light w/soft focus)
EDITING: Used MS-058 to fill missing songs and other clipped/cut parts on D1186.su

MS-058 author's Notes:
Back in 87 cameras were still in their infancy,, I was not sure whether it was a passing fad Then I discovered it was possible to RENT a camera from "Radio Rentals" so with 2 like minded mates we proposed to do just that. The camera was MASSIVE the batteries were almost a foot long an weighed about 4lbs each and only lasted 40 mins ! I rented 3. Getting the gear in was going to be quite a challenge. Some amazing things were tried. In the end it was decided to put the camera in a shoulder bag with a long strap, one of us would put the bag on our back and go in wearing a cloak! "K" looked like a weird hunchback, but it worked, however the weight of the camera pulled the strap
so tight round his neck that he was almost strangled! The batteries were taped to our legs which meant we were walking like cripples!
Night one (14th) we cased the place an took nothing in.
But the next night we were there... Now I had never used this camera before apart from a brief fiddle
at home. I did not know it had a macro facility. So when I started to film the macro was "on" which stopped me focusing in !! It took to Thin man to discover and correct the error. But we got the whole show, I will never forget the feeling of elation when we left the Arena later! I think its maybe that that keeps me involved all this time later.
Its not a great film, but its watchable and it was the first I was involved in.
We tried the same method on the 16th but got stopped going in. But we were there again on the 17th
My helpers were J and K J is still a mate but less involved. K and I worked together for a few years till
he discovered women! Maybe a story for another day
