DASH-F RATING ON 10-POINT SCALE:

DISTANCE: 6
AUDIO: 9
STEADINESS: 5
HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS: 5
FOCUS: 6

AVERAGE QUALITY = 6.25 (doesn't include Distance since that's not a quality criterion)

VIDEO SOURCE:
Hi8 tape probably sourced from a 1st generation tape.
1st song missing; songs 2 & 4 no useable footage.

AUDIO SOURCES:
LB-5138 (trade CDs)
LB-2886 (downloaded) (used only for fill)

DISTANCE/POSITION:
Top of hill
30 degrees left of center
Looks like standing only/no seats visible in front of stage
Filmer had to deal with people passing in front and with the umbrellas that came out when the rain started to get heavy.
Limited zoom, occasional panning.

SOUND:
LB-5138 excellent but had very brief gaps before and during several songs that had to be fixed (see setlist details); vocals upfront; no distortion, clipping, or echo.
LB-2886 very good; used to fill a gap in LB-5138 during "Pretty Peggy-O."

STEADINESS:
Camera fairly steady except when people pass in front of filmer.

HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS:
Filmer had to deal with people passing in front and with the umbrellas that came out when the rain started to get heavy.

FOCUS/COLOR/LIGHT/RESOLUTION:
Color is fair; focus generally good except when camera adjusts to obstructions; horizontal tracking lines present, especially during "Don't Think Twice"; this was a daytime concert, so plenty of light was available for the lens, but the distance and the rain were limiting factors.

PERFORMANCE/HIGHLIGHTS/SPECIAL MOMENTS:
Solid, but not particularly special performance. Larry's fiddle on "Friend of the Devil" very nice.
Rain throughout concert, heavy enough for umbrellas at times.
Tony mops area around microphone during "Silvio."
Crew comes out during "Tangled Up In Blue" to mop some more and lay down mat for Dylan to stand on.
Audio taper confronted by security at end of "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere." Taper apparently ignored him because the sound continues uninterrupted.

EDITING:
Stills used to fill missing/cut songs, but otherwise kept to a minimum. Once songs get started, filmer generally maintains a steady/unobrstructed shot so stills not needed.
Left encore breaks and end dispersal scene intact to to preserve the scene and the characters in the crowd.
