1995 was a pinnicial year for Dylan. M-TV Unplugged was released to rave reviews. He Won a Grammy for best traditional Folk Recording for World Gone Wrong, 2 Honorary Grammy’s for songs he released 40 years ago. He performed the beautiful Farewell at Frank Sinatra’s birthday on national TV As well as the prestigious Kennedy Award. It’s a pity that on this disk you can just barley see it. Roskilde 95 is not at all watch able. The picture frequently breaks up and it is not just shaky as much swirling. Yet the sound is very good; Dylan at the top of his game performance wise. It’s not half bad if I put a blanket over the TV set. Also only shows 7 songs of his more played material.
The second part is a Swedish document made around 1979 that employs mostly stock footage. First, 1966 then in all places The Goteborg airport;1978, not answering questions, mumbling incoherently. On to what looks to be a promising piece about the Isle Of White Festival. It is edited as performance shots to the studio version of Knocking On Heavens Door. Which I find downright Lamentable. The last bit is local musicians talking about their views of Dylan, as well as his influence. The only part of the whole disk that I found interesting. For that 15 minutes and the sound quality of the Roskilde show I give this one star. The last part is a horrible transfer of for well done but common Video Promos of four songs. This is clearly to complete a collection.
