The artwork shows the wrong date: 2002... :) Should not be too hard to correct.

Audience videos in my (limited) experience usually have to choose between distance and steadiness..usually the closer they are the more unsteady they seem to be..this one gets it spot-on..The taper is far enough away that we get a clear, unobstructed view of Bob and the band (no drums though) and yet close enough that we can still see Bob's expressions..(raised eyebrows on "There's no limit to the amount of trouble women bring" and all!!)
The colour is really warm and pleasing on the eye and the sound quality excellent..You could actually watch this dvd in company and not have to worry about fielding questions like "Why are you watching a blank screen?" or "Is the camera supposed to be pointing at the ceiling?"..etc,etc..it really is excellent..
Peformance as always very subjective but I think the Fall shows are the best of 2001..Bob just introducing the "Love And Theft" material..his vocals seem stronger than earlier in the year too. Additionally although we are still treated to the dubious pleasure of Bob's inimitable guitar style, at least Larry and Charlie get a look in here (unlike D197.su2)
Hard to pick any individual highlights as it's just a pleasure to watch from start to finish..Although the lovingly filmed harp solo on "Just Like A Woman " is really nice .."This World Can't Stand Long.." ( as extreme as anything from Bob's "religious" days..)is good too..then there's a good version of " Cry Awhile".. I could go on..
Personally in both overall quality and "watchability" (peformance and technical) I would rate this far higher than the much acclaimed D197.su2 film..In amateur video terms it's hard to improve upon ..Would thoroughly recommend it to any one..especially those just starting out in the amateur dvd world..Just one question..who the hell is Paul James??!!
Ta "T.U.I.D".

Actually 4.5 stars, but we don't have a rating for that...yet..
This show probably would have made it on my top 5 list had yassou not re-authored #D025.su, however, this disk proves to be another strong contender in the top 10 voting(all my own voting that is).
For me, this show is a must have simply because of Bob's performance. Mr. D sounds strong and in control the whole night, and truly gives us something to behold in the guitar playing aspect. I would have to agree with all who have said that Bob never gave Larry or Charlie enough solo's, but on this night they would not be needed. Bob is in fine form from the begining of the show, but picks up considerable speed on "This World Can't Stand Long". The acustic mini set really starts to get this show cookin', it even dare's to be great.
As was noted in a pervious review, the white suit Bob is wearing does somewhat distract the camera lense, but not in such a way that I feel it takes anything away from the viewing pleasure. The sound upgrade on this disk is very clean, and provides yet another chronicle of Bob signing well, and being heard well. The being heard well is key, as on some dvd's you can tell that Bob is "on", you just can't "hear" it that well. Not the case here.
I could do a song by song review of the entire show, but I will summarize my thoughts with my personal highlights of the night:
1.) This World Can't Stand Long-excellent guitar and harmonies
2.) Wicked Messenger-JUST WICKED!
3.) Sugar Baby-great to see it perfomed so beautifully
Thanks again to all who have put themselves in a position to get these incredible documents to the legion of Bob fan's, and to those who have provided this raw footage with carefully crafted menu's. It really does make for a lasting viewing experience.
