Main part (Frankfurt 2003) is quite shaky and with many heads but still watchable

Bonus #1 - Some of this All Along The Watchtower from Nürnberg 2002 is incredibly close (look at the screenshots) and quite steady; strong performance as well. Worth having! (Note: also on D550)

Bonus #2 is a nice sound-upgraded two-camera mix of George Harrison's Something from New York City, 13 November 2002.

It's the 2003 version of the Bologna 05 dvd but more shakey!
This dvd was difficult to review but i enojoyed this dvd like i did the Bologna 05.
The 2003 footage is pretty nice and close up but the songs are clipped and are not complete.
The best part of this dvd lies in the Bonus #1: All Along The Watchtower (Nürnberg 24-Apr-02), It's not shakey, it's clear and steady and i think if the whole show was filmed like that then it would be a Dvdylan masterpeice!

DISC D482
SOUND Decent off-cam track, better than average but less than perfect - a little boomy in places and through the second half of H61 slightly overloaded with consequent occasional scramble.
IMAGE A stage-front hand-held film. The taper stands just left of centre, putting him directly in front of a right-facing keyboard Bob with Le Fred (second screenshot) immediately behind. Tucked in about three rows back, he's shielded by the bodies in front, which is good, but of course struggles constantly and with mixed success to shoot past their heads, resulting in a video that, beset by persistent obstructed view and wavery lens problems, less than enthralls. Still there are a few brief passages of very close and reasonably steady film that reward patience. No meaningful panning. (For bonus details, see below.)
RUNNING TIME Frankfurt (comprising songs 3, 5-7 and 9-11 of the gig's 17): 43:10. The camera stops between songs, meaning a few seconds are shaved from most intros and outros. Additionally, Cry A While is missing its opening line and It’s Alright Ma its first six. Nürnberg bonus: 6:10, NYC bonus: 3:15, both songs complete.
PERFORMANCE Enjoyable, with Simple Twist, Things Have Changed and Every Grain all well put across.
COMMENT If D482's main course disappoints, it offers by way of recompense two cracking bonus chapters. First up, the wonderful stage-front Nürnberg Watchtower is surely one of the most remarkable clips of amateur film in the catalogue, catching Spring '02 Bob, then just 60, full and very fine. We find him initially aloof, absorbed in his work and looking distinctly other-worldly - a cross between Julius Caesar and Jabba the Hutt, maybe - then, part-way through the song he seems to spot the camera - certainly he looks its way, shakes his head and smiles - after which he’s looser, more animated, though in earnest still. Essential, unmissable stuff, though if you haven’t seen it already, note that it features on D550 as well as here, and that DVD ought probably to be higher up your wants list than this one. Something, the short but exceedingly sweet two-cam November '02 George Harrison tribute, likewise figures elsewhere (D044.su, D556) and likewise well rewards repeated viewing, either there or here.
THANKS Viner LQ
STARS Two and a half.
