LB NOTES ON LB-11646:
bittorrent download 08/14
drop/cut between cdrs
in 7-way comparison these are different recordings based on different crowd at end of d1t2; Bandridge LB-1327 and vw LB-1328 have much less full sound than the others; out of the rest next narrowest and also harshest is hv LB-1541; cc LB-1954 has the fullest sound, then this which is warmer than the cc; then next fullest is Doberman LB-1480, and then spot LB-1323 which is the warmest; (did not listen to all of this)

DISC AUTHOR'S NOTE ON THE AUDIO:
Compared LB-1323, LB-11646, LB-1480 and CC #721-22 and found LB-11646 to be the best.

IMPROVEMENTS OVER & DIFFERENCES FROM D275:
-used footage & clips from D304 and D305 to fill missing and obstructed parts of D275
-stills used where no footage was available
-split show into 2 DVDs for higher bitrate
-sound upgraded with excellent ebr recording LB-11646
-different title and track menus

PERFORMANCE/HIGHLIGHTS/LOWLIGHTS/SPECIAL MOMENTS:
-terrific set list with nice mix of the old & the new
-great singing by Dylan with gut-wrenching takes on "Boots Of Spanish Leather" & Mr.
Tambourine Man"
-lots of tasty harp
-Freddie Koella's stinging leads
-Larry Campbell's cittern on "It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)"
-Campbell's slide & interplay with Koella on "Honest With Me"
-roadie Tommy Morrongiello plays guitar on "Summer Days"

DASH-F RATING:
D275 & D304 are both excellent quality, but the exclusively rear view of D304 made D275 the most suitable base footage. D304 is lesser video quality, but necessary because it shows Dylan from the front and has the final three songs.

DISTANCE/POSITION:
D275: Left balcony 50˙ showing Dylan in profile from the back; good shots of band
D304: Left balcony 70˙ showing Dylan exclusively from the back with shots of band
D305: Right balcony 70˙ showing Dylan from the front but with cables partially
obstructing the view; few shots of individual band members

AUDIO: 15 (excellent ebr recording LB-11646)

FOCUS/COLOR/LIGHT: 13.67 avg.

D304: 15
D305: 11 (NTSC original had to be converted to PAL resulting in loss)

EDITING: Missing songs and obstructed/off-target parts of D275 filled with footage from D304 and D305. Stills also employed where no footage is available.
