The Caretaker writes:

Well here we are, 300!
When I started this series years ago it was simply to catalog and preserve my own films. I gave copies to the other tapers as usual. Then one retired, he moved away and gave me the masters of his films, as he knew I was someonr who would "take care" of them. (See where the name comes from) When I started sorting his films others became aware of what I was doing and to my astonishment there films slowly started to accumulate. That was a long time and several collections ago. Some were passed to me by the relatives of deceased pals. Soem I have purchased to save from extinction. I never dreamt it would go this far, and it's not over yet. There are more. Indeed as I have been posting the Casper films more or less in date order the date here will tell you I have jumped a few as I want 300 to be particularly memorable.
So here we have one such film. It's great quality though not as close as some, but Bob is SO on the money here, and just look at that set list! Even Series Of Dreams! It makes this one of my own favourite films. There will be more Japanese shows to come a little later. Enjoy this one now.
And let me just say a quick thank you to all my friends that have given to this run of shows, your generosity has been amazing. Your friendship is even more so.
THANK YOU my friends.

The Caretaker & the Restoration Team

Great sound and picture quality, but significant obstructions and off-target parts compromise the viewing experience. The filmer's position on the floor forced focus on Dylan and Watson with occasional views of Garnier. Standout songs are "Ring Them Bells" and "Series Of Dreams." The extended harp and guitar picking on "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" is really quite remarkable.

The fact that this is the only known DVD from the 1994 Far East Tour make it a "must-have" addition to any collector's stash. Hence, the 5-Star rating.
