This video has a variety of long and short shots, with plenty of panning to the various players.
It is very close to a 5 in steadiness, the only extended shaky period being before Love Sick.
This item has been sound upgraded. See D189.su

DISC D189
SOUND Poorly balanced and fuzzy. Not much fun and not how this music should be heard. (Note: the subsequent emergence of D189.su - same video over a superb audio upgrade - and D835 - an alternate sound-upgraded film - has since resolved this problem. If trading, make sure you get one or other upgrade.)
IMAGE See screenshots. Rock-steady, wholly unobstructed right-side balcony film, a bit dulled by repeat copying but still consistently good. Plenty of D + Larry (though nothing very close) and plenty, too, of the whole band. Camerawork of a high standard.
RUNNING TIME 121 minutes - complete gig.
PERFORMANCE Fun for all - though what was D thinking when he kicked off It's Alright, Ma with the line Pointed threats they bluff with scorn? (For more of the same, re-wind Nara '94's Hard Rain.) Strange thing is, after first line flubs, both those performances were solid. During the last two of tonight’s four covers, no less than eight players are on stage: Bob and the band plus Phil Lesh, Warren Haynes and Jorma Kaukonen.
HIGHLIGHTS Four songs (of 17) survive the sonic snafu sufficient to please my ears: a fine Boots, a whomping Man Of Peace, a faithful, playful Highlands and another scorching Love Sick.
COMMENT Much the best thing on this disc is the lovely complete Rock Of Ages that plays under the menu. Trouble is, having savoured that, you then proceed to the main event and can't help but note (and rue) the difference...

A wonderful show, the last of this leg of the Dylan/Lesh tour. The guest appearences by Jorma, WH, Phil, are wonderful, as is Phil's solo on Friend of the Devil sez this old and in the way Deadhead.

Highlights must include one of the best (complete??!!) performances of Highlands ever, and this DVD confirms my memory of TG's big grin and applause at the end of this performance.

This DVD captures the fun and warm vibe of this gig, and is a great example of the 99 tour in full swing.

strongly recommended!

A great DVD! The only downside is that the video transfer didn't go great. The picture wavers slightly at times, and occasionally drops out more or less altogether. This is a shame because this was a GREAT recording. I have a VHS copy I got in 2000 and while the color is a bit darker, it lacks the flutter and minor drop-outs present here. I'm guessing this just wasn't sourced off the master tape, or that the master tape has had some MAJOR degeneration.

Still, this is a very pleasant video. It's close and yet still does a good job of scanning the other musicians. Great Larry Campbell footage and for some funny reason, the audio mix is VERY heavy on Larry-- it's a good chance to see which songs he was playing lead on in '99.

I love the disc, you will too. Of course, I loved 1999, so I could be biased.
