Buenos Aires, Argentina (27-Apr-12)

This is a very enjoyable program enhanced in no small measure by an enthusiastic audience, the excellent SPOT soundtrack, and the skillful camera work of McLachlan. Although there are no surprise songs, Dylan puts forth a strong vocal performance. I especially liked the phrasing on "Girl of the North Country," "Simple Twist of Fate," "The Levee's Gonna Break," and "Ballad of a Thin Man," as well as the harmonica solo on the encore performance of "Blowin' In the Wind."

The filmer does a good job of panning and zooming from his 12th row seat. Challenges arise, however, during "The Levee's Gonna Break" and beyond when two audience members either arrive or decide to stand to the right of the filmer, thus providing a narrower window to navigate. To his credit, the filmer pans to other band members when Dylan is blocked so we at least get to see action away from the main man.

While not quite as good as D1034, I'll give D1037 a 5-minus and urge DVDylan members to add it to their collections.
