No LB rating but excellent sound noted
excellent sound, strong bass, downloaded from a.b.m.s.d. 11/02; (a bittorrent from 11/07 is a close eac match on d1t8; wrongly described as this LB number with this LB file description; filenames like 08.flac ); drops between tracks
LB-0706 > hd > Toast Titanium 11.0.4 > SD II disk images > iMovie 6.0.3.

DVD PRODUCTION PROCESS:
All work done on MacBook Pro running El Capitan OS 10.11.1 Audio and video assets edited in iMovie 6.0.3; authored, multiplexed and burned to VIDEO_TS folder in iDVD 7.1.2 (Professional Quality 2-pass variable bit rate encoding)

COOPS2009 NOTES FOR MS-148:
Remember even if you have some of the Daves films already that at best your copies will be 2 generations poorer than anything in the Masters series, so get em all. These will be with original sound though many will feature as sound upgrades eventually with my two mates Yassou and Madhasse helping out

BOB DYLAN
Thomas Wolfe Auditorium
Asheville, North Carolina, USA

DVDylan ID #054.msu

DIFFERENCES & IMPROVEMENTS OVER D054/D-054.su
-used master video source (MS-148)
-original PAL format (earlier editions were transcoded to NTSC)
-divided into two discs for better bitrate
-more natural selection of stills
-did not employ distracting special effects
-new top and track menus

PERFORMANCE/HIGHLIGHTS/SPECIAL MOMENTS:
-fine acoustic set
-good performance of “Lay, Lady, Lay” (a song that when performed live rarely
measures up to the original on “Nashville Skyline”
-Jackson’t usual smoking guitar, especially on “Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I’ll
Go Mine)”
-rapid-fire delivery of “Tangled Up In Blue” lyrics
-Watson’s hair a constant source of wonder
-cool acoustic interplay by Dylan & Jackson on “Mr. Tambourine Man”
-Garnier’s stand-up bass line on “Masters Of War” quit effective
-crowd highly appreciative of “Masters Of War” lyrics
-Baxter’s nifty mandolin tremolo on “Don't Think Twice, It's All Right”
-girl climbs on stage to kiss Bob at start of “It Ain’t Me, Babe” & two others come
up at end (see screenshots)
-fan holds up paper with illegible printed message (see screenshots)

DISTANCE/POSITION: 11-13 (center balcony mostly knees up and zooming to waist-up on Dylan; Watson shown throughout in back of Dylan; camera follows Dylan w/minimal panning to others, but Jackson and Garner seen when close to Dylan or when camera zooms out; Baxter is on far right and rarely seen

AUDIO: 14 (bass a tad too prominent - use your knob!)

STEADINESS: 14 (filmer demonstrates an admirably steady hand)

HEADS/OBSTRUCTIONS: 14 (virtually unobstructed)

FOCUS: 12 (good color, vivid in reds and pinks; good light, but reflection in red spectrum breaks up on Dylan’s face; focus good but a bit soft and sometimes out between songs)

EDITING: complete concert with minimal cuts and clips; stills used for missing parts of songs, transitions between songs, and to maintain a/v sync (see setlist details)
